New Plymouth Tours

A whole new range of fun and exciting helicopter rides, scenic flights and adventure tours has been launched for New Plymouth and around Taranaki this summer.

All our helicopters have only forward facing seats, ensuring every passenger is comfortable and gets a good view through the front of the aircraft.

Operating from Urenui Base or New Plymouth Airport:

Three Sisters - $200 incl.GST per person
minimum 4 passengers

Fly to the famous Three Sisters rock formation at the mouth of the Tongaporutu river and land at the Tongaporutu Whitecliffs Station. Best visited at low tide where you can explore the coastal caves.

Flight duration approximately 35 minutes.

Mt Taranaki Volcano Tour - $280 incl.GST per person
minimum 4 passengers

No New Plymouth vacation is complete without a helicopter ride over the mountain! Hover above Mt Taranaki and the surrounding ranges of Pouakai and Kaitake. You will be talking about this trip long after your holiday is over!

Flight duration approximately 50 minutes.

Waterfall Adventure Tour - $280 incl.GST per person
minimum 4 passengers

A real expedition and our all time favourite trip! Fly along the coastline to the mouth of the Tongaparutu river, travelling up the Hutawai wetland (The longest coastal wetland in the North Island.) We land at the base of the falls and there’s time for a short walk or even a swim if the weather’s good. Why not take a picnic or simply enjoy the tranquility. The rocks at the base of the falls contain ancient fossils which are truly amazing.

Flight duration approximately 50 minutes.

Mokau River Tour - $420 incl. GST per person
minimum 4 passengers

Includes the Waterfall Adventure and then on to the historic Mangatoi Station. On arrival, the pilot will take you on a tour of the abandoned village and coalmines. This place breathes history! Take a picnic lunch and the pilot will boil the billy.
