Detonate Festival '09 is a one day, one night New Years Eve event, featuring top Kiwi bands and acts, entertainment and hospitality, with an emphasis on pyrotechnics, explosive effects, and good, safe times.

Located in Urenui, north Taranaki, Detonate features a qualified and trained pyrotechnician/stuntman, who will be 'detonating' bombs and explosive effects all day long, there will be entertainment for guests such as mud slides, gyro rides and stunts as well as the main attraction, top Kiwi bands and music playing throughout the day and night.

Precision Helicopters, with legendary pilot Matt Newton, will be offering helicopter rides above and around the festival area.

Precision Princesses Perform to Perfection!

The Precision Princesses took the Taranaki Round the Mountain Relay event in their stride. Starting at 9pm on Friday, they took turns to walk the 150km around Mt Taranaki, eating and sleeping when they could. They finished at 6pm at the TSB Stadium, New Plymouth.

PHL supply and install a communications repeater at Nukuhakari Station.

A new repeater has been air lifted into Nukuhakari Station that provides both Nukuhakari and PHL staff excellent communications from Raglan to Wanganui, also extending well into the King Country. This has made back country work far safer.

PHL in "Coolest Dad Ever" advert

Precision Helicopters recently assisted in the making of an action-packed advert named "The Coolest Dad Ever" where the actor is supposed to have jumped off a building and catches the skids of a helicopter in mid flight. He then leaps from the helicopter into the sea! The ad was filmed in Taranaki and you can watch it here.

Howie and the TV crew from Hunting Aotearoa visited PHL during the week for two day's hunting and an interview with Matt Newton (PHL's CEO and Chief Pilot) for a forthcoming programme.
